Something Different: print horror reading source

Last week, I did a blog entry for Halloween in case people might want some time to get horror titles before it. Since Halloween is actually today, I thought why not do another horror entry? I decided I wanted to highlight a print horror reading source. Online sources are great, but it can also be fun to have a print source in hand to flip through.

Hooked on Horror III: A Guide to Reading Interests by Anthony J. Fonseca and June Michele Pulliam is fun to browse. The book is organized by subgenre with interesting subtitle headings like “Maniacs and Sociopaths,or, the Nuclear Family Explodes”. Each author provides their picks for best books in each subgenre. The descriptions of the books make even me, not usually a horror fan, tempted to read some horror books. Horror award and film recommendations are also provided. If horror interests you this could be a great book to check out.
